PROJECT | Appealing Ardsley Basement

The Yankees may have lost their chance at the World Series but this Westchester family is certainly winning with their new, custom masterpiece.

transFORM designer, Melissa Fritz, completely reconfigured this basement to incorporate a built-in wall unit and functional home office.

Featured in a clean-lined combination of White, Charcoal, and Brushed Aluminum materials, the finished product adds an earthy touch to their space, while it’s open and closed style shelving was designed to keep their children's items in order. Melissa also custom crafted an area to fit a mini beverage fridge.

The unit was further enhanced with shaker style door and drawer faces as well as round bar handles in a Polished Chrome finish. The clear glass door inserts with clear glass shelving, provides a space to display framed family photos and stacked hardcover novels.

The custom work space includes a wire management system and semi wrap around counter top for quick maneuvering.

An additional unit was installed on the opposite wall as well. This built-in was strictly intended for kid-friendly toys and other belongings.

Sleek, stylish and completely customizable, it’s a design that caters to each family member's individual wants and needs.
