Thanks to Felix Figueroa & the transFORM Shop for saving and collecting the edge banding boxes for Alexi Brock’s NRHS PAVE art sudents. With budget cuts, traditional canvanses are no longer available, so Alexi had the idea to repurpose these boxes to provide a painting surface for the students to work with. The creativity of these young men and women is expressed on the octagonal boxes and has transformed them into beautiful pieces of art.
This summer transFORM was excited to host a New Rochelle High School Senior, Selin Selman, for a career mentoring day. Considering potential majors to pursue in her future, and leaning towards design and interior architecture, transFORM was the perfect place for Selin to meet and talk to designers, engineers, and interior architects working in the field.
transFORM Gallery was happy to welcome back instructor Alexi Brock’s NRHS PAVE class for our third annual exhibition of their art on the evening of Wednesday, June 5th. The title of the exhibit, Art at Dawn, captures the student’s hard work and dedication. They arrived at school at 7:15 AM to participate in the PAVE program, a testament to their enthusiasm for creating and elevating their art. The class was joined by family and friends to celebrate their favorite and most accomplished pieces produced through their hard work and early morning classes over the school year.
